The magnificent slopes of Munnar, Kerala are host to yet another natural miracle, as 39 km away in Shanthanpara, saplings are laid that shall join in the fight to protect masterpieces similar to this entire area. This micro-forest is being built using the teachings of Prof. (Dr) Akira Miyawaki, a world-renowned environmentalist. This visual treat spans over 2200 sq. ft and lies amidst a cardamom plantation, and is now home to over 700 plants that belong to 200 species. Planted on 27 December 2018, it is a symbol of hope in a mesmerizing valley threatened by the ravages of climate change and global warming.
