In this video, M.R. Hari explains how to plant saplings using the Miyawaki method of afforestation. Saplings from nurseries should be re-potted in grow bags/discarded plastic buckets/pots containing a potting mixture of coir pith, cow dung, rice husk, and soil, taken in equal proportions (1:1:1:1), after discarding the soil sticking to the roots. They should be tended for two to two-and-a-half months with care, then taken to the chosen site, and kept there for two weeks so that the saplings get acclimatized to the new atmosphere.
